
Uses
1. Utilizes its inherent characteristic odors of sulfur, eggs, cheese, dairy products, vegetables, and cabbage to formulate food flavorings with corresponding flavors.
2 It is a food-grade synthetic flavoring recognized under FEMA 3876. Its permitted usage limits apply to a wide range of food products, including baked goods, non-alcoholic beverages, and dairy products, with an addition level of 0.1–5.0 mg/kg; for flavoring agents, the level may reach up to 100–1,000 mg/kg.
3 As an organic synthetic intermediate, it is used in the preparation of various sulfur-containing fine chemicals.
Storage
Store in a sealed container in a dry environment at room temperature, away from open flames and high-temperature heat sources, and avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents.
