
Uses
1. Used in the formulation of food flavorings with corresponding flavors, leveraging its inherent characteristic aroma reminiscent of melon.
2 It is a food flavoring recognized by FEMA. The permitted usage levels are as follows: 0.1–1.0 mg/kg for baked goods and meat products; 0.1–0.5 mg/kg for non-alcoholic beverages, frozen desserts, and gummy candies; 0.5–5.0 mg/kg for processed vegetables and soups; and up to 500 mg/kg for seasoning blends.
3 As an organic synthesis intermediate, it is used in the large-scale industrial production of pharmaceuticals and sulfur-containing fine chemicals.
Storage
Store at room temperature in a tightly sealed container away from light, in a well-ventilated and dry environment, and keep away from oxidizing agents, open flames, and high-temperature heat sources.
