3.Monomer Copolymerization and Crosslinking Agents: Contains an acetoxy group that can participate in radical copolymerization (e.g., with monomers such as acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, and vinyl acetate) to prepare moisture-curable silane-modified polymers for use in adhesive and sealant systems.
4.Surface Modification: Acts as a surface treatment agent for pigments and fillers, enhancing dispersion and compatibility with the organic phase.
Storage Conditions
1.Environmental Requirements: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Recommended temperature: 2–8°C or room temperature away from heat (specific to supplier specifications). Strictly protect from light.
2.Sealing and Moisture Protection: Must be stored in a strictly sealed container, as exposure to water or moisture can cause hydrolysis, producing acetic acid and methanol, which may lead to degradation or self-polymerization; avoid prolonged contact with air.
3.Precautions: Strictly avoid contact with water, strong alkalis, and amine compounds; keep away from sources of fire and high temperatures; ensure the container lid is intact to prevent moisture ingress.
4.Stability Note: Relatively stable at room temperature when kept dry and sealed; once the container is opened and moisture enters, hydrolysis accelerates, so it is recommended to use it as soon as possible; the hydrolysis product is unstable and should not be stored for long periods.
