Applications

3-Urea-propyl trimethoxysilane is highly effective as a rust inhibitor for metal surfaces. When used to treat the surfaces of metals such as gold, silver, and copper, it improves their corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and enhances their adhesion to high-molecular-weight materials. It is widely used as a filler in polymer materials and is suitable for both thermosetting and thermoplastic polymers, such as epoxy, acrylic, phenolic, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene, and polyacrylonitrile.
