Applications

1. A-172 is a bifunctional molecule that reacts with both inorganic fillers and organic polymers. It can be used as a bonding promoter for polymers filled with various minerals—such as aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, kaolin, and silica—to improve their mechanical and electrical properties, with particularly effective results after exposure to moisture.

2. Once this product binds with inorganic fillers, it makes the filler surface hydrophobic. This effect improves the compatibility between the filler and the polymer, resulting in better dispersion, reduced melt viscosity, and easier processing of filled plastics.
