Silane coupling agent KH-540 is a trimethoxysilane. It hydrolyzes significantly faster than triethoxysilane KH-550, providing faster reaction and curing rates; however, methanol is a byproduct of its hydrolysis reaction, making it slightly less environmentally friendly.
Applications
Silane coupling agent KH-540 can be used as an additive or formulated into a primer for phenolic, urea-formaldehyde, furan, polyurethane, silicone, epoxy, acrylate, phenolic, and acrylic coatings, inks, adhesives, and sealants. It is used to enhance the adhesion, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, boiling water resistance, and scrub resistance of resin coatings, extend their service life, and improve the dispersion and bonding of pigments and fillers in the resin phase.
Applications
DB-551 is a novel reactive silane coupling agent that readily undergoes hydrolysis and cross-linking reactions. It is widely used as a reinforcing agent and cross-linking accelerator in composites, coatings, inks, adhesives, and sealants, and can also serve as a resin-modifying additive and enzyme immobilizer.
