Applications:

Propyl acrylate of 3-trimethoxysilane is a widely used organosilane coupling agent, primarily serving as a tackifier for resins and polymeric materials; for the synthesis of silicone oils containing methacryloxy groups (as listed in Chemicalbook); as a crosslinking agent for room-temperature-curing acrylic coatings and polyolefin-based systems; in copolymerization with methyl methacrylate to produce contact lenses; and to enhance the hydrophobicity of insulating oils and optical fiber coatings, as well as to improve the mechanical properties of polyester concrete.
