It features a strong chicken aroma blended with the characteristic scent of chicken fat. Even at low concentrations, it exhibits fresh, crisp fruity notes of sweet orange and citrus. Naturally found in ingredients such as roasted chicken, orange peel, and strawberries, it is a highly recognizable dienal-type flavoring agent.

1. Food Flavoring: FEMA No. 3135, listed as an approved food flavoring under China’s GB 2760 standard. Primarily used in the formulation of chicken flavorings, it is suitable for potato chips, fried foods, and spice-based flavor profiles. The compliant maximum usage limit in various foods is 10 mg/kg.
2. Personal Care Fragrancing: Added to specialty personal care fragrances as a characteristic fatty aroma component to enrich the meat and fatty notes of the fragrance profile, suitable for formulations of personal care products with unique flavors.
3. Organic Synthesis: Used as an intermediate in fine organic synthesis for the production of downstream alkenal derivatives.
Storage Requirements
Store in a sealed container, protected from light, in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment at 2–8°C. This substance is an air-sensitive, irritating liquid; keep it away from strong oxidizing agents, store and transport in accordance with regulations, and avoid prolonged exposure to air to prevent oxidation and deterioration.
