Features a strong, sweet anise aroma blended with the fresh, floral scent of hawthorn blossoms, complemented by a subtle bean-like fragrance and spicy notes from vanilla beans. The aroma is intense and long-lasting. It occurs naturally in anise oil, dill oil, and vanilla extract, and is a classic methoxy-substituted aromatic aldehyde fragrance.

1. Food Flavoring: FEMA No. 2670, listed as an approved food flavoring under China’s GB 2760 standard. It can be formulated in appropriate amounts to create various food flavorings as needed for production and is suitable for a wide range of food processing applications.
2. Personal Care Fragrancing: Serves as a core fragrance note for formulating floral-type fragrances such as hawthorn, sunflower, and lilac; it also acts as a co-fragrance in lily-of-the-valley fragrances and a modifier in osmanthus fragrances, and is widely used in the fragrance systems of various personal care products.
3. Industrial and Pharmaceutical Applications: It serves as an excellent brightener for cyanide-free zinc plating (DE) additives and is also an important intermediate in pharmaceuticals and fine organic synthesis, used in the production and preparation of downstream derivatives.
Storage Requirements
Store in a sealed container, protected from light, in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment. This substance is an air-sensitive, irritating, flammable liquid; keep it away from strong oxidizing agents. Package it in sealed plastic drums and store and transport it in accordance with regulations to prevent prolonged exposure to air, which can cause oxidation and deterioration.
