Naturally present in flue-cured tobacco leaves, it is a highly recognizable short-chain diene aldehyde flavor compound that imparts a fresh, crisp fruit and vegetable sensation even at low concentrations.

Storage Requirements
Store in a sealed container, protected from light, in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment at 2–8°C. This substance is an air-sensitive, highly toxic, and irritating liquid classified as a Class 8 hazardous material (UN 2922). Keep away from strong oxidizing agents and strong bases.
