Primary Uses
1. Daily Cooking: With a high smoke point and minimal smoke production, it is suitable for various Chinese cooking methods such as pan-frying, stir-frying, and deep-frying. It has a light, non-greasy taste and is one of the most widely used cooking oils in both households and the food service industry.
2. Food Processing: Used in the production of margarine, shortening, salad oil, baked goods, and pre-fried foods to enhance flavor stability and extend shelf life.
3. Personal Care and Skincare: As a classic emollient and skin conditioner, it is added to body lotions, hand creams, makeup remover oils, and baby skincare products. It is highly skin-friendly, gentle, and non-irritating, effectively moisturizing dry skin.
4. Pharmaceutical Excipients: Pharmaceutical-grade sunflower seed oil can serve as a carrier oil for fat-soluble drugs in injections and can also be used to formulate topical ointment bases, meeting the standards for pharmaceutical excipients set by various national pharmacopoeias.
Storage Requirements
Store in a sealed container in a standard warehouse environment at room temperature—cool, dry, and protected from light. No special low-temperature control is required; avoid direct sunlight to prevent oil oxidation and rancidity.
Keep strictly separated from strong oxidizing agents and strong acids and bases; keep away from open flames and high-temperature heat sources. Once the packaging is opened, reseal immediately and keep the product completely isolated from air throughout storage to prevent degradation of the ingredients.
