It possesses a strong, complex aroma of spices, cloves, and fermentation, accompanied by distinct notes of roasted peanuts and toasted nuts. Naturally found in coffee, malt, and flue-cured tobacco leaves, it is one of the characteristic flavor compounds in baijiu, beer, and soy sauce.

1. Primarily used in the formulation of nut, baked goods, and clove-based food flavorings.
2. Pharmaceutical/Bioactive Applications: As a natural plant germination inhibitor with well-documented anti-inflammatory activity, it can be used in relevant pharmaceutical intermediates and biological research applications.
3. Synthetic Intermediates: As a raw material for fine organic synthesis, it can be used to further produce downstream fragrance products such as 4-ethylguaiacol, and can also be used in the synthesis of certain dyes.
Storage Requirements
