1. Food Flavoring: FEMA No. 3351, listed as an approved food flavoring in GB 2760. It is used to formulate fruit and vegetable-based flavorings, with a compliant maximum usage limit of 1–2 mg/kg in soft drinks and baked goods.
2. Industrial Solvent: Used as an organic solvent in the production and preparation of industrial products such as inks, dyes, and resins.
3. Organic Synthesis: As an intermediate in fine organic synthesis, it is used in the production of downstream chemical derivatives such as 3-bromohexane.
Storage Requirements
