The flavor is rich, full-bodied, and long-lasting. Naturally present in fresh strawberries, it is the core ingredient defining strawberry-flavored essences.
Applications:
1. According to FEMA regulations, the maximum usage level is 1.0 mg/kg in confectionery, baked goods, condiments, meat products, and soups. It is used to formulate strawberry, raspberry, cheese, and tropical fruit-flavored food flavorings and is the signature ingredient in strawberry flavorings.
2. As an organic synthetic intermediate, it can be used in the preparation of fine chemicals for pharmaceutical and personal care fragrances, and can also serve as a modifier for fruit-scented personal care fragrances.
Storage and Safety:
Store in a sealed container in a dry, cool, dark place at room temperature, away from oxidizing agents and alkalis. Store and transport in accordance with UN 3261, Class 8, Corrosive Substances, Category III packaging specifications. This chemical is classified as a Category 1B skin corrosive; wear safety goggles and corrosion-resistant gloves during handling to avoid direct contact with skin or eyes, which can cause severe burns.
