Key Applications
1. Key Emollient in Cosmetics: As a classic ingredient in high-end cosmetics, it is used as an emollient and penetration enhancer in products such as creams, lotions, foundations, sunscreens, and hair conditioners. It imparts a refreshing, non-greasy, and smooth feel to the skin and helps active ingredients penetrate the skin more effectively
2. Transdermal Carrier in Pharmaceuticals: Used as a drug matrix in ointments and liniments, it significantly enhances the transdermal absorption efficiency of drugs. It can also serve as a medical dispersant in various topical formulation recipes.
3. Personal Care and Fragrance Additives: Used as a dispersant in color cosmetics such as lipstick, lip balm, and face powder; it also serves as a fixative in perfumes, slowing the evaporation rate of fragrance notes.
4. Industrial and Food Applications: Used as a lubricant for precision machinery; it can also serve as the primary oil phase component in water-in-oil gel sustained-release emulsion systems.
5. Organic Synthesis Solvent: Used as an inert solvent in the synthesis of various fine chemicals; it exhibits excellent compatibility with the vast majority of personal care and pharmaceutical raw materials.
Storage Requirements
1. General Environment: Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Industrial-grade products can be stored at room temperature in a sealed container; research-grade reagents are recommended to be refrigerated at 2–8°C, and high-temperature environments should be avoided.
2. Safety Precautions: Keep away from open flames and high-temperature heat sources. Do not mix with water or strong oxidizing agents. This substance is chemically stable, resistant to hydrolysis and rancidity, and will not deteriorate under normal storage conditions.
