Core Applications
1. Polysiloxane Terminating Agent: Used as a terminating agent for silicone oils and linear polysiloxanes, it is an important silane coupling agent that terminates the growth of siloxane chains and precisely controls the molecular weight and viscosity of polysiloxanes. It is widely used in the silicone industry.
2. Surface Modification of Materials: Used to prepare hydrophobic coatings, modify the UV resistance of epoxy resins, and coat superhydrophobic recycled polyester aerogels, significantly enhancing the materials’ water resistance and weather resistance.
3. Analytical Chemistry and Research Applications: Used to prepare solid-phase microextraction fibers as sol-gel coating materials for the detection of pesticide residues in environmental and agricultural samples; it can also be used for the controlled synthesis of large-area silicon-doped graphene to enhance molecular sensing performance.
4. Organic Synthesis Intermediates: Used in organic synthesis for the synthesis of small-molecule compound libraries on silicon-functionalized solid-phase carriers; it can also serve as a silylation reagent in various fine organic reactions.
5. Industrial Surface Treatment Agents: Can be used as a surface treatment agent for glass fibers and reinforced plastic laminates, significantly improving the mechanical strength, heat resistance, and moisture resistance of the products.
Storage Requirements
1. General Environment: Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area designated for flammable materials. Keep strictly away from heat sources, sparks, open flames, and hot surfaces. Warehouse temperature must be strictly maintained within a low-temperature range to prevent hazards caused by high temperatures.
2. Safety Controls: This substance is highly flammable; its vapors can form explosive mixtures with air. Explosion-proof electrical and ventilation equipment must be used, and anti-static grounding devices must be installed. The use of tools that may generate sparks is strictly prohibited. Additionally, measures must be taken to protect against water and moisture to prevent hydrolysis reactions upon contact with water.
