
Applications and Sample Formulations
1. Widely used as a wetting agent and penetrant. Examples include the textile, synthetic fiber, and leather industries.
2. Used as a detergent. Examples include personal care products, household cleaning, industrial cleaning, textiles, leather, and synthetic fibers.
3. Used as an emulsifier and in other applications in the petroleum and petroleum derivatives industries.
4. Used as a leveling agent in the textile and printing and dyeing industries.
5. Used as a solubilizer. For example: in the fragrance and flavor industries.
6.Used as an emulsifier and dispersant.
Special Notes:
1. Use with caution in products intended for direct use on children, such as children’s body wash and shampoo.
2. Contains trace amounts of the byproduct 1,4-dioxane: classified as a carcinogen in animals and a possible carcinogen in humans (Group 2B); however, if present in very small amounts, it generally does not pose a health risk to humans.
