Description

Applications

1. When condensed with hexamethylenediamine, this product can be used to produce the engineering plastic nylon 6–12;

2. The diesters formed with alcohols such as octanol and butanol can serve as plasticizers for polyvinyl chloride (PVC), nitrocellulose, and cellulose acetate. The diester synthesized with octanol is also used as a base oil for high-grade lubricants in jet engines and gas turbines, or as a base oil for low-temperature greases;

3. Dodecadienoic acid can also be used as a modifier for saturated polyesters, a metal precipitant, and a raw material for fragrances and specialty polyurethanes.
