Applications

1. Dibutyl maleate can be used as a raw material for synthetic resins and coatings. It is also used as an impregnating agent, dispersant, and lubricant in the petroleum, textile, plastics, and paper industries, and serves as a plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins and methacrylate resins.

2. Plasticizer. Organic synthesis intermediate. Gas chromatography stationary phase (maximum operating temperature 150°C; solvents: methanol, chloroform) for the separation and analysis of halides and esters.
