Key Applications
1. Pharmaceutical Formulations: As a key pharmaceutical excipient, it serves as a solubilizer and emulsifier for poorly soluble, fat-soluble drugs. It is widely used in the formulations of injectables, oral preparations, and semisolid formulations, and is a classic nonionic pharmaceutical solubilizer.
2. Personal Care Sector: As a compliant skin conditioner and emulsifier added to skincare and personal care products, it softens and moisturizes the skin while providing cleansing and emulsifying effects, thereby enhancing formulation stability and skin feel.
3. Industrial Sector: Used as an emulsifier for pesticides, a lubricant for textile and synthetic fibers, and a dehydration agent for crude oil in oil fields; it can also be used to emulsify and disperse fats, waxes, and mineral oils, making it suitable for various industrial emulsification applications.
Standard Storage Requirements
1. Basic Storage Conditions: Must be stored in a completely sealed container. It is generally recommended to store the product in a cool, dry environment at 2–8°C to prevent high temperatures from causing the product to darken or degrade in performance. Under normal conditions, the product can be stored stably for extended periods.
2. Safety Isolation Requirements: Storage areas must be equipped with standard ventilation facilities. Keep the product away from open flames and heat sources at all times. It must be strictly separated from strong oxidizing chemicals; mixed storage is strictly prohibited.
