Core Applications
1. Silicone Industry: As the most essential basic monomer in the global silicone industry, it is used for the large-scale production of all types of downstream silicone products, including silicone oils, silicone rubbers, and silicone resins. Products derived from it are widely used in electrical insulation, building sealants, coatings, and moisture-proofing for textiles, among other applications.
2. Fine Chemicals Synthesis: As a highly reactive silanization reagent, it is used to prepare optically active metallocene polymerization catalysts and resin-bonded siloxanes. It can also serve as a hydroxyl-protecting agent in organic synthesis, meeting the structural modification needs of various fine chemicals.
3. Specialty Materials: Used in the production of high-temperature-resistant, high-strength silicon carbide fibers; it is one of the key precursor materials for advanced composite materials in the aerospace and high-end manufacturing sectors.
Standard Storage Requirements
1. Basic Storage Conditions: Must be stored in a completely sealed container under nitrogen atmosphere. Low-temperature refrigeration at 2–8°C is generally recommended; industrial warehouse temperatures must be strictly controlled at ≤30°C. Contact with humid air is strictly prohibited.
2. Safety Isolation Requirements: Storage facilities must be equipped with a complete set of explosion-proof lighting and ventilation systems. Keep the product away from open flames, heat sources, and electrostatic sparks at all times; the use of equipment or tools that may generate sparks is strictly prohibited. It must be stored strictly separate from strong oxidizing agents, acids, alkalis, alcohols, and amines; mixed storage is strictly prohibited
