Tridecafluorooctyl trimethoxysilane is a fluoroalkyl silane characterized by excellent water- and oil-repellent properties. With the aid of a coupling agent, it can form effective cross-links with the CPE matrix and distribute uniformly throughout it, thereby effectively enhancing the oil resistance of the sheath material.

Applications

Tridecafluorooctyl trimethoxysilane can be used as an anti-fingerprint agent for glass products such as high-end smartphone screens and camera lenses, or as a water-repellent and stain-resistant agent for concrete. It is also used in CPE sheathing materials for wires and cables.

Storage

Trimethoxysilane should be stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, protected from moisture and water, and kept away from sources of fire and heat. It is stable in a sealed container under dry conditions with inert gas protection.
