Main Applications
1. Rubber Industry: Used as a cross-linking agent/vulcanizing aid in peroxide vulcanization systems for EPDM, NBR, silicone rubber, fluorocarbon rubber, and others. It shortens vulcanization time, increases cross-linking density, and enhances heat resistance, abrasion resistance, and solvent resistance; in some systems, it can also absorb halogenated hydrogen byproducts.
2. Plastic Modification: Used for crosslinking modification of thermoplastics such as PE and PVC to improve heat resistance, impact resistance, and dimensional stability; also serves as a monomer in copolymerization for impact modification.
3. Coatings and Inks: Acts as a multifunctional monomer in UV-curable or thermosetting systems, significantly improving the cure rate, hardness, adhesion, and chemical resistance of resins such as epoxy acrylates.
4. Other Applications: Modification of polyester resins; crosslinking agents for ion-exchange resins; additives for insulating materials in microelectronic packaging; components of anaerobic adhesives and wire coating material
