Uses

1. It can be used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, synthetic resins, paints, enamel, lipids, and paint strippers; as an extractant in the pharmaceutical industry; and as a plasticizer for resins in the plastics industry; in the textile industry as a fiber lubricant and dispersant for synthetic fiber oils; it is also used as a pesticide dispersant, dry-cleaning solvent, cutting oil solvent, and organic synthesis intermediate, as well as an auxiliary solvent for emulsifying mineral oils and as an analytical reagent.
