Main Applications
1.Surface Chemical Modification: Constructing self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on the surfaces of silica, glass, and metal oxides to impart superhydrophobic and low surface energy properties.
2.Functional Material Preparation: Used in the preparation of hydrophobic coatings, anti-corrosion coatings (e.g., for magnesium alloys), microfluidic devices, solid-phase microextraction coatings, and for modifying dielectric layers in organic electronic devices.
3.Nanomaterial Modification: Modifies the surfaces of inorganic nanoparticles, such as magnetic nanoparticles, for dispersion stabilization or magnetic solid-phase extraction.
4.Chemical Intermediates: Serves as a reaction intermediate for organosilicon synthesis and polymer modification.
Storage Instructions
1.Environmental Requirements: Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place away from light. Recommended temperature: 2–10°C (some industrial-grade products may be stored at room temperature, but lower temperatures ensure greater stability) ; Must be protected from moisture/water, as contact with water causes decomposition, producing methanol and leading to curing.
2.Inert Gas Protection: For high-purity products or long-term storage, it is recommended to purge with an inert gas (nitrogen or argon) for protection.
3.Containers and Contraindications: Use glass or specialized plastic sealed containers; strictly avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, water, or humid air; keep away from heat sources and open flames.
