Main Applications
1.Surface Hydrophobic Modification: Long-chain alkyl groups impart hydrophobicity to materials. Used for surface treatment of glass, ceramics, metals, or fillers (such as BaTiO₃) to reduce polarity and suppress agglomeration.
2.Composite Interface Coupling: After hydrolysis, the methoxy groups condense with hydroxyl groups on inorganic materials, enhancing the bond strength at the organic-inorganic interface and improving the mechanical and dielectric properties of resin-based composites (such as PMMA).
3.Silicone Synthesis Intermediates: Used in the preparation of functional silicone compounds, specialty adhesives, coatings, and modified polymers.
Storage Instructions
1.Environmental Requirements: Store in a cool, dry place away from light. Recommended temperature: 2–8°C or below room temperature. Keep away from heat sources and open flames.
2.Sealing and Protection: Containers must be strictly sealed; it is best to purge them with an inert gas such as nitrogen to prevent hydrolysis and decomposition caused by exposure to atmospheric moisture.
3.Separate Storage: Store away from strong acids, strong oxidizing agents, and incompatible substances; avoid storing them together.
