3-Methacryloxypropylmethyldimethoxysilane CAS No:14513-34-9 C10H20O4Si

Applications

1. This product is suitable for polyethylene and copolymers of various complex shapes and all densities; it is suitable for applications requiring a wide processing tolerance, such as filled composites. It features a high service temperature, excellent resistance to pressure cracking, wear resistance, and impact resistance. It can be grafted onto the polymer main chain to modify polyethylene and other polymers, introducing its ester groups into the side chains to serve as active sites for warm-water crosslinking.

2. When used with glass fiber, it effectively improves the mechanical properties (bending strength, tensile strength, etc.) of glass fiber products and enhances the adhesion between the fiber and the matrix (various resins, including thermosetting and thermoplastic types);

3. In coatings, it is used for copolymerization and grafting with acrylic resins. When used as a crosslinking agent in acrylic coatings, it improves weather resistance, extends the service life of the coating, and increases crosslinking density, resulting in a coating hardness of 5H (pencil hardness) or higher;

4. It can effectively improve the hydrophobicity of insulating oil and enhance the mechanical properties of polyester concrete, among other applications;

5. When used as a post-additive in inks and coatings, it imparts excellent film hardness and gloss to the ink and coating films; it also improves the adhesion of optical fiber coatings.

 6. Methylacryloyloxy silicone oils are synthesized through condensation or copolymerization. Utilizing the reactivity of methylacryloyloxy radicals, these silicone oils can copolymerize with styrene, acrylic acid, and acrylates, imparting heat resistance, smoothness, and weather resistance to acrylic resins and polystyrene resins;

 7. In the presence of a photosensitizer, these oils can cross-link and cure upon exposure to ultraviolet light, making them one of the primary types of silicone anti-adhesive release agents.
