Application direction

2,4,6,8-Tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane Compared with linear polymethylhydrosiloxane, tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane features fewer impurities, higher purity, a well-defined structure, and is more suitable for molecular design and modification. It can be used to prepare various methylhydrosiloxanes and modified siloxanes with specific hydrogen content and desired chain lengths For example, it is used in the production of high hydrogen content silicone oils; as a cross linking agent for high  temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rbber and addition-type liquid silicone rubber (LSR); and in the synthesis of side-chain polysiloxane liquid crystal polymers, as well as various high-quality side-chain modified silicone oils, such as long-chain alkyl silicone oils,polyether silicone oils, epoxy silicone oils, carboxyl silicone oils, and amino silicone oils.Tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane is also an excellent impregnation agent for optoelectronic materials.
