Odor:
When diluted with 0.10% dipropylene glycol, it exhibits a complex aroma reminiscent of a mixture of sulfur, onion, garlic, and coffee, accompanied by subtle, pungent notes of mustard, horseradish, and roasted meat—a typical sulfur-based flavor profile.
Applications:
1. As a food-grade flavoring agent compliant with FEMA No. 3366, it is used to formulate edible flavorings with coffee, meat, and onion/garlic profiles.
2. It can also serve as a sulfur-containing organic synthetic intermediate for the preparation of pharmaceutical and pesticide derivatives.
Storage:
Store in a tightly sealed container at room temperature in a cool, well-ventilated, and dry environment. Keep away from heat sources and open flames. Store separately from strong oxidizing agents to prevent oxidation and discoloration caused by exposure to air.
