When diluted with 1.0% ethanol, it exhibits a complex aroma combining sulfur-like, smoky, and earthy notes with blackberry and black currant fruit notes, as well as aromas of grilled meat, vegetables, and black currant. In its natural state, it is found in cooked beef.
Uses:
1. As a food-grade flavoring agent compliant with FEMA No. 3475, it is used to formulate fruit flavorings such as strawberry, blackcurrant, and grape.
2. It can also be used to flavor meat and nut-based products and serves as an important modifier for blackcurrant fragrance profiles in personal care products.
Storage:
Store in a sealed container in a designated area for flammable materials. Store at room temperature away from light, heat sources, and open flames. Keep separate from strong oxidizing agents. This substance is sensitive to air and must be strictly isolated from air to prevent oxidation.
