Applications
1. Dioctyl sebacate is one of the superior types of cold-resistant plasticizers. It is suitable for polymer products such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), vinyl chloride copolymers, cellulose resins, and synthetic rubber. It features high plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, and excellent cold resistance, heat resistance, light resistance, and a certain degree of electrical insulation. It is particularly suitable for use in cold-resistant wires and cables, artificial leather, panels, sheets, films, and other products. Due to its high migration rate, susceptibility to extraction by hydrocarbon solvents, lack of water resistance, and limited compatibility with base resins, it is often used as a co-plasticizer in combination with phthalate-based primary plasticizers.
