Uses

3. As a plasticizer, specialty solvent, etc.

Due to its good compatibility with polyvinyl chloride, vinyl acetate-acrylonitrile copolymer, polyvinyl butyral, nitrocellulose, and butyl acetate fibers, this product is commonly used as a plasticizer for vinyl resins, fiber resins, and synthetic rubber. It has low viscosity and good cold resistance but relatively poor durability. It can also be used in nitrocellulose coatings.
