1. Fragrance and Aromatics Industry: It is widely recognized in the industry as a high-quality fragrance co-solvent. It is virtually odorless and does not interfere with the original scent of the fragrance. It balances water-oil systems, ensuring uniform dispersion of fragrance ingredients, and significantly improves the formulation transparency and scent retention stability of perfumes and personal care fragrances. It often accounts for more than 50% of the formulation in perfumes.
2. Personal Care and Cosmetics: Used as a compliant, mild humectant and coupling agent in various skincare, personal care, and color cosmetics products, it provides softening and moisturizing benefits, dissolves active ingredients, and enhances formulation stability. Its low-irritation properties also make it suitable for products designed for sensitive skin.
3. Industrial Sector: Used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, and shellac varnish; it also serves as a synthetic intermediate in the production of unsaturated polyester resins, plasticizers, and synthetic detergents. The resins produced exhibit excellent resistance to cracking, weathering, and long-term yellowing.
Standard Storage Requirements
1. Safety Isolation Requirements: Warehouses must be equipped with standard ventilation systems. Keep away from open flames and heat sources at all times. Must be strictly separated from strong oxidizing chemicals; mixed storage is strictly prohibited.
2. Operational Control Guidelines: Operators need only wear standard protective gloves and safety goggles. Avoid prolonged direct contact with the eyes. Storage areas must be equipped with standard spill containment materials. Dispose of waste materials in accordance with regulations for general polyol waste.
