Primary Applications
1. Biochemical Research: As a core biological buffer, it is specifically designed for biochemical experiments in slightly alkaline systems. It helps maintain the natural structure of biomacromolecules such as lysozyme, preventing their denaturation under high-temperature conditions, and is suitable for various protein- and nucleic acid-related analytical experiments
2. Molecular Biology: Used in the analysis of DNA-dye complexes and protein inhibition studies; it also serves as a component of electrophoresis buffers, maintaining pH stability in alkaline electrophoresis systems and preventing significant pH fluctuations from affecting the accuracy of experimental results.
3. Biopharmaceuticals: Serves as a protective buffer component in freeze-drying, used in the freeze-drying process of certain active biopharmaceuticals to reduce inactivation and loss of active ingredients during freeze-drying.
Standard Storage Requirements
1. Safety Isolation Requirements: Must be stored strictly separate from strong acids and strong bases to prevent acid-base neutralization reactions that could compromise buffering performance
2. Operational Control Guidelines: Wear standard protective gloves and safety goggles during experiments to avoid direct inhalation of dust. After completion, promptly rinse exposed areas with running water. Dispose of waste materials in accordance with regulations for general biochemical laboratory waste
